BW Modernisation

Carry the existing estate forward, or rebuild it

BW Modernisation settles one question before any build: whether the existing estate is carried forward, or rebuilt. Most estates end up with some of each.

What we do

Carrying the estate forward lifts BW into private cloud edition and publishes the models worth keeping as data products into Business Data Cloud. Rebuilding starts in Datasphere and takes only what earns its place. We describe the estate in evidence rather than in memory: objects, flows and queries counted with usage and run history behind each one. Then we recommend a route, convert or rebuild the models that matter, run old and new in parallel until the numbers match, and hand over a runbook so your team owns what comes next.

What you get

Outcomes that settle scope before spend and leave a foundation planning, reporting and AI can share.

Route before build

A written recommendation with its reasoning, sized against your estate, so you can disagree with it before anyone builds.

Usage decides scope

What is carried across is settled by what is read, not by what exists. Dormant objects stay behind on purpose.

Models that survive the move

Logic worth keeping is converted or rebuilt. The rest is deliberately left behind so the new landscape stays lean.

Reconciled cutover

Old and new produce the same numbers over a period before anything is switched off.

Handover your team can run

The old estate is retired with a runbook and training for the people who own the new one.
